Diablo 3 Pets and Their Locations (Update – January 2023)

Pets Diablo 3

Diablo 3 does not have combat pets for every class, but non-combat pets are available to every class. It doesn’t matter if it’s a miniature version of the Lord of Terror or a hybrid Murloc/treasure goblin, there’s a Diablo3 pet out there just waiting for you to adopt it.

Listed below is a complete List of All Diablo 3 Pets available in Rising of the Necromancer. Some Blizzard games come with pets, and others don’t; you may have to kill certain rare mobs in the game to find them. Some pets are only available for a certain amount of time, so it’s essential to stay on top of events and new game releases. This list will be updated as new pets are released, so keep an eye out!

Diablo 3 Pets Available for Special Purchase

1. Bones

Purchased through Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Collector’s/Deluxe Edition

Please don’t confuse with Zooey Deschanel’s sister’s Fox show. This little pup can be purchased as part of the bundle of extras that come with the Collector’s/Deluxe editions of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls.

2. Half-Formed Golem

Acquired via Rise of the Necromancer Purchase

In the Rise of the Necromancer pack, you can purchase this handsome boy along with the new class. You will not receive the gaunt necromancer with mismatched armor.

3. Probe

Purchased via StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void Collector’s/Deluxe Edition

There are some alien probes that are uncomfortable, but not this one. Purchasing StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void collector’s or deluxe editions will allow you to obtain this Protos unit as a Diablo 3 pet.

18 Diablo 3 Pets: Available through the Managerist in Diablo 3

Managerist goblins are rarest treasure goblins, and they spawn at the same rate regardless of difficulty. There is a chance that each party member will receive a non-combat pet that is guaranteed, random, and unowned. You don’t have to worry about duplicates! If you want to complete your Diablo 3 pet collection, this mob is a high priority.

1. Blaze

The perfect companion for a wizard, this flaming skull is likely homily to Marvel’s Ghost Rider. The face of Nicolas Cage briefly replaces that of Blaze if you idle long enough.

2. Buddy

Despite not being man’s best friend, this pup is still your little buddy. Getting in on the bone action would be entertaining for him if he went with a necromancer.

3. The Bumble

Play Buck Bumble with this yeti whenever you want. What do you think the name of this Diablo 3 pet refers to?

4. Charlotte

If you’re into depressing children’s literature about arachnids, this is the pet for you.

5. Friendly Gauntlet

Perfect for snapping along with you to the Addams Family theme. Or for holding your hand on a long walk through the cemetery.

6. Galthrak the Unhinged

When he has unhinged as a title, you know he’s down to party. Or maybe he unhinges his jaw when devouring prey.

7. Grunkk

The Siegebreaker Grunkk is a miniature version of Act III’s Siegebreaker. Keep him away from your mini-buildings!

8. Haunting Hannah

Hannah is hauntingly beautiful. Or maybe just hauntingly haunting.

9. Humbart Wessel

Humbart isn’t as good as Blaze at riding a motorcycle, but he is the king of goofy names. Take Zayl (Act V) but don’t let him know.

10. Lady Morthanlu

Every adventurer’s favorite lady goat since that one lady goat from Undertale, she is the ideal Diablo 3 pet for those who like petting zoo animals with attitude.

11. Lamb

A non-combat pet as cute as a mutton, but also as innocent as a human child. Whose child is this? Where are his parents?

12. Malfeasance

Although the Diablo 3 pet may have a sense of horror and death about it, if you bond with it over the new season of New Girl, it’ll soon become your friend.

13. The Mimic

How come mimics only ever mimic treasure chests? Why not mimes? Mime-ics, anyone?

  • Madeleine

According to her flavor text, she’s “a happy-go-lucky gal!” despite looking like a Korn character!

14. Overseer Lady Josephine

In our world, teddy bears are happy and cuddly, but in Sanctuary, they are vengeful and hell-bent. Still cuddly, though.

15. Queen of the Succubi

Now’s your chance to adventure with demonic royalty. Morrigan Aensland, her friend, may even introduce you to her.

16. The Stomach

If you never finish your meal, the stomach is a great Diablo 3 pet to own. Your character should instead choose a lung if he or she has asthma.

17. That Which Must Not Be Named

There’s no pet here. Not sure what you’re talking about.

18. Unihorn

For too long, humans have been unable to capture this legendary beast in the real world. With Diablo3, you can now own one as a pet. Part horse. Part horn. All fury.

Liv Moore – Pets acquired through other drops in Diablo 3

Purchased through Ravi Lilywhite Drop (Act I, Weeping Hollow):

Taking its name from a character from iZombie, this knife-wielding zombie can be found as a guaranteed drop from the incredibly rare mob Ravi Lilywhite, Passionate Player in the Weeping Hollow in Act I.

Diablo 3’s No Longer Available Pets

1. Seasonal Pets

You can gain these pets by completing Chapter 4 of the seasonal journey of their respective seasons. Because they were only available during their given season, they can’t be picked up after the season has ended.

2. Dream of Piers

Acquired via completing Season 7 Chapter 4

This quarter-horse, quarter-Diablo, the half-horn hybrid, was only available in Season 7.

3. Frost Hound

Acquired via completing Season 4 Chapter 4

Diablo 3’s chill pet was the first non-combat companion to be offered in Season 4.

4. Old Growth

Acquired via completing Season 5 Chapter 4

Unfortunately, Vin Diesel didn’t voice this pseudo-ent, but you were able to see it in Season 5.

5. Rocky

Acquired via completing Season 9 Chapter 4

There’s no better boxer than him who’s also made of stone I’ve ever seen. And he’s in Season 9.

Blizzcon Pets

1. Classic Diablo

Acquired via Blizzcon 2016 Attendance/Virtual Ticket

As part of Blizzcon 2016, Blizzard has brought back the classic Lord of Terror game in a travel size version.

2. Murkoblin

Acquired via Blizzcon 2015 Attendance/Virtual Ticket

I’m glad that they keep coming up with ways to make murlocs into cosmetic pets. The pet was made available to attendees of Blizzcon 2015 and holders of virtual tickets.

Event Pets

1. Royal Calf

Acquired via Wirt’s Stash during Anniversary Event

To unlock this stunning bovine, players had to craft Wirt’s Leg, decipher a map, solve a puzzle involving cow carcasses, and raid Wirt’s Stash during the anniversary event.

2. The Butcher

Level 1 Anniversary Event Dungeon Run acquired

It was available only during the anniversary celebration and is extra fresh. This baby boy had to be obtained by entering the cathedral and running the dungeon from level 1.
